Spider-Man PS4: 10 Big Things We Learned From The E3 Demo

4. Movement Is Both Fast And Furious

Spider Man PS4 Combat
Insomniac

One of the most exciting things about Insomniac's Spidey title has to be that it's seemingly captured Peter Parker's acrobatic sensibilities, both in and out of combat. The demo showed off the webslinger leaping from building to building, bobbing and weaving during fights and, in the aforementioned pivotal set-piece, prevent a crane from crashing into the Manhattan sidewalk.

All breathtaking stuff, then, for Sony's wallcrawler. And indeed, the fact that the demo placed such a great emphasis on Spidey's movement can only be reassuring for fans who, it must be said, have had to deal with some fairly mediocre titles in the past.

Fast and fluid movement is central to Spider-Man's abilities, and it's great to see that represented in the medium once again. It also helps that the wallcrawler looks good doing it, but y'know, not everyone seems to be as up for the suit as I am.
