Spider-Man PS4: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Perfect Villain
4. Massacre
Massacre is a lesser known villain for many non comic readers, but his short impact on Spider-Man's life has been nonetheless effective. Marcus Lyman was the victim of a failed assassination that did take the life of his wife. After this the genius stock broker was left with a complete lack of emotion or empathy - to the point where Ravencroft's Dr. Kafka had completely given up on helping him.
After fashioning his escape, Lyman became known as Massacre and he set about taking hostages with the help of a military-grade arsenal. The man's inability to feel any compassion made him a deadly captor, and one who almost got the better of Peter Parker when they first faced off.
Including Massacre in the new game would be a great way to highlight the heroic morality and never-give-up approach that has made Peter Parker's Spider-Man such an inspirational hero. Massacre's fate at the hands of Otto Octavius' Superior Spider-Man was the work of a non-hero; putting players in situations where they could opt for that easy solution would be a serious enticement, but taking Peter's approach would be a reward all of its own.
