Spider-Man PS4: 10 Great Other Spider-Man Games To Keep You Going While Waiting For Miles Morales

Spider-Man (2000) was released just two years before the first Raimi film released, releasing on the PS1, Dreamcast and N64. The game sees Spider-Man have to take on a large range of his rouge gallery as Doctor Octopus has covered the city in toxic gas. One of the linear games on the list, the game has you stopping a bank heist, being chased by a police helicopter and even working with Venom as you break into the Daily Bugle printing rooms.

The game's tone is fantastic, having an interesting mystery throughout while still having sprinkling in comedy throughout. A range of Marvel characters appear, Stan Lee narrates the game and there is a multitude of unlockables to discover.

The game even has a What If? mode which adds strange additions to the game, such as Ghost Rider riding up the side of a building on his motorbike. These funny additions give you a reason to play again and it isn't something you often see in games these days.

This game honestly feels like a Spider-Man comic book bought to life, with unique comic cover loading screens for each level. There was a follow up sequel subtitled Enter Electro, and while it does feature bigger levels and an improvement on the graphics, it fails to capture the same charm that the first game does.
