Spider-Man features some of the most iconic villains from the Wall-Crawlers rogues gallery, while also providing a spotlight to some of his lesser-known ones such as Mister Negative. However, there is one noticeable villain that does not make an appearance. The antithesis of the happy and colourful Spider-Man: Venom.
From the post-credit cutscene at the end of the story, it seems as if the symbiote will appear in some form in the next game, as we see it sharing a tank with Harry Osbourne.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean there are no aspects of the Venom story in the PS4 universe. In a seemingly innocent backpack found in the Upper West Side, you'll find a good luck card from Peter's former colleagues at The Daily Bugle. One particular message innocently reads "Great working with you!" Who is this message from? None other than the original Venom - Eddie Brock.
While it does seem as if Harry Osbourne will be taking up the mantle of Venom in at least some form in the next game, the symbiote is famous for swapping hosts on a whim, so there's a real possibility Eddie Brock could make an appearance and maybe even be the main villain.
