9. There Won't Be Any Microtransactions

When Insomniac announced that features like upgradable suits, gadgets and skill trees were going to be a major part of their project, there was the fear that either Sony or the devs themselves might be tempted to include some kind of loot box or microtransaction system in their Spider-Man game.

After all, while the publisher has never been as bad as EA or Activision, they've still added in-game purchases into some of their major releases, including Uncharted 4.

Fortunately, while there are unlockables to gain in Spidey's PS4 outing, it's been confirmed that there'll be absolutely no microtransactions in the game. There are indeed some pre-order bonus costumes to encourage fans to slap down money early which isn't great, but at least that mentality won't be carried over to the actual title itself.
