6. Hobgoblin

For fans of the aforementioned Fox Kids Spider-Man cartoon, Hobgoblin will always be the first of Spidey's Halloween-themed foes. Voiced by Mark Hamill, smalltime crook Jason Philip Macendale took to the skies on his own goblin glider in an orange and blue outfit. The motif saw him run into conflict with Norman Osborn's Green Goblin, with the resulting fallout leading to his eventual arrest.
As for the comics, plenty of characters have taken on the identity of the Hobgoblin, so Insomniac aren't exactly short of heirs to the mantle. Among the most notable Hobgoblins are Ned Leeds (yes, that Ned Leeds from Homecoming is one and the same), Roderick Kingsley, the previously mentioned Macendale and even Phil Urich - nephew of Daily Bugle reporter, Ben Urich.
We already know that Norman Osborn will be making an appearance as the mayor of New York City, with a transformation into the Green Goblin almost a certainty, but it'd be nice for Insomniac to pull the rug from underneath our feet and introduce ol' Hobby instead - especially since they're lifting so many beats from the cartoon anyway.
