There's no getting away from Venom right now. With a solo film set to release later this October and a comic currently making waves on a bi-monthly schedule, 2018 is proving to be Eddie Brock's year. And yet, not a peep has been mentioned of the character appearing in Marvel's Spider-Man.
Apparently teased during GameInformer's extensive (and exclusive) coverage of the title back in April, it's difficult to see how it doesn't reference the symbiote in some way. It could even be the case that Spidey himself will encounter the black costume at some point in the story, whether it be the cloth version made after the character ditched it in the comics, or the alien parasite that grafted itself to him during the events of Secret Wars.
It's likely to feature as an unlockable costume either way, but it'd still be nice to see at least a symbiote play a key role in the story, whether it be Venom, Carnage, or any of the other ones with progressively worse names.
