18. The A.I.M. Connection

Over the course of the game (and again, these are MAJOR SPOILERS for the story of Marvel's Spider-Man), players will find themselves returning to the lab of Otto Octavius, Peter's employer who's currently dealing with the repercussions of having his grant funding withdrawn for his experiments on a neural-prosthetic interface. Over time, it becomes clear that something isn't right, as the once human-like arms become more sinister, and the paraphernalia in the lab itself gradually changes.
Beneath Otto's sketch of the Raft (which he initially chalks up to a contract for repairing its defence systems), a bunch of boxes with the A.I.M. insignia can be found. It's unclear whether he was developing weapons for the group or whether they were supplying him in turn, but the organisation is sure to ring a bell with Marvel fans.
Often seen sporting yellow hazmat suits, A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics) are a villainous organisation with a key focus on technology. They've fought with Iron Man, the Avengers and Spider-Man himself over time, and their presence is sure to be something to bear in mind going forward.
