6. Shocker

There are two parts to this boss encounter: firstly, there's the frenetic pre-fight chase, a fun yet brief web-slinging sequence through Manhattan. Though the web-slinger quickly subdues Shocker, the chase is just a precursor to the main brawl that takes place inside a bank a little later.

While this adheres pretty strictly to the predictable, phase-based boss battle formula - avoid his concussive blasts, throw stuff at him and so on - the setting is pure classic Spider-Man, and swinging around the giant chandelier-like object in the middle of the room to avoid Shocker's attacks is a lot of fun.

It's a bit on the repetitive side overall, but undeniably comic book-y all the same.
