If Insomniac's desire to make a world out of their universe wasn't apparent already, the announcement of a tie-in novel for Marvel's Spider-Man surely will.
Called Spider-Man: Hostile Takeover, the book will serve as a prequel to the events of the main game and details how Wilson Fisk ends up behind bars. It's sure to provide tons of juicy details for fans desperate to learn more about the world, but they won't have to wait until David Liss' novel releases in August to get their first nuggets of information.
The book's synopsis, which details Fisk's downfall and some of the characters Spidey will interact with, actually mentions Blood Spider by name. He's an obscure villain, one enlisted by Taskmaster to fight Spider-Man with a similar move-set, but his presence illustrates how Insomniac are thinking outside of the box in choosing which characters to adapt.
