Another character mentioned in the tie-in novels synopsis is actually more synonymous with Daredevil than she is with Spidey, so her inclusion is even more interesting than Blood Spider's.
Introduced as a Daredevil character in 1999, Echo is the adopted daughter of Wilson Fisk and a deaf anti-hero at that. Long story short, she collides with The Man Without Fear before turning against Kingpin, ultimately blinding him before leaving to live her life away from the crime and tumult of Hell's Kitchen.
Apart from a brief stint in the New Avengers as Ronin, Echo has rarely crossed paths with Spider-Man. That leads us to believe that there could be more to her appearance in the tie-in novel than would necessarily meet the eye, but in any case, it's great to see Maya Lopez getting more love, especially since her last proper gaming appearance came in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
