Spider-Man PS4: Every Villain Confirmed (So Far)

Taskmaster has presented himself as an enemy of Spider-Man's on several occasions in the past, but the supervillain, who boasts Olympic-level athleticism and photographic reflexes (able to mimic the physical movements of any foe) as part of his repertoire, is traditionally a wider Marvel villain and an especially dangerous enemy of the Avengers.

So, that being the case, what offence could Spider-Man have caused to the master assassin so grievous that he's descended on New York City specifically to flush him out? Insomniac won't say, but it has confirmed that its game will contain crossover elements including the likes of Avengers Tower, so perhaps the two will feature together as part of a side story?

With the Riddler challenges in Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham trilogy often praised for their memorability and Insomniac's Spider-Man already being favourably compared with Batman's greatest video game adventure, perhaps Taskmaster will serve a similar role in the latter?

After all, Insomniac has confirmed the character's inclusion, but we've yet to see him in the flesh, so to speak. Just like one Edward Nigma.
