Spider-Man PS4 Sequel: 10 Things We Want To See

2. Playable Miles Morales

Spider Man Miles
Insomniac

Though Miles Morales was technically playable in the first game, few were left satisfied with those dispassionate, dull stealth missions, especially as pre-release marketing hinted at the prospect of players being able to web around as Miles.

Well, the end of the game finally sees Miles reveal his bite-induced Spider-Man powers to Peter, a glorious, fist-pumping, crowd-pleasing moment which hints at a far more action-orientated role for Miles in the next game.

There's only one sensible way to go here, and every fan knows it. The game absolutely must allow players to choose between Miles and Peter from the start of the game, and while it certainly places a heftier workload on Insomniac's shoulders, it'll absolutely be worth all the effort.

If fans are left with just a few scant Miles missions or, worse still, he ends up cynically locked behind a DLC paywall, it's really going to feel like a massively wasted opportunity.

People love the character and giving players options is a damn good thing, so why not? Nobody's saying Insomniac needs to design two fully separate campaigns, but giving the story divergent elements depending on who you pick would be a fantastic way to keep people playing.
