Splinter Cell Blacklist: 10 Reasons It's The Best Of The Series

2. Perfectionist Difficulty

Splinter Cell Blacklist h Alongside the three traditional difficulty settings for Blacklist is an extra one called Perfectionist, a brutally difficult mode that rewards brilliance and punishes even the slightest mistakes; it is without question only for the best of the best Splinter Cell players, as all others will likely end up snapping their disc in a bout of frustrated rage. In Perfectionist Mode, you'll get detected faster, enemy AI will be smarter, your goggles can't see through walls, and essentially, you need to both spend more time observing your surroundings and also be quicker on your feat. Furthermore, violence is made far more difficult, as execution is impossible, and hand-to-hand combat from the front will result in you summarily having your ass kicked; enemies must be approached from the back or side. Simply put, you need to be a masochist to even contemplate giving this mode a go, but I'm glad that it's there.
