Spyro Reignited: 8 Bosses We Can't Wait To Fight

7. The Sorceress

The Sorceress was cruel, merciless and formidable. Even with all of the larger than life characters in Reignited's stable, she's got one of the biggest personalities of the lot. Her redesign brings out the style even more, with just as much characterisation in her collar ruff and magic staff as any Disney villain has.

It's not just her who makes this battle stand out though. The gameplay is fun and quirky, bringing new elements to the table without making things needlessly cluttered. The different type of cannons for you to hop in add some flavour and make the most of Spyro's typically limited moveset. Spyro 3 was all about that in many ways, changing up a lot of what had been typical in the previous two without jumping the shark the way some later installments did.

Perhaps the most interesting thing though is how it uses Spyro's usual tactics against him. Head down and charge has been the norm for dodging bosses; it was always just a question of controlling him enough to avoid obstacles. Here though, because the Sorceress flicks her staff wildly, you often find hazards falling right in front of you at the last moment.
