Star Wars: 10 Games We Want To See From EA

9. A Freeworld Action Game

Star Wars Jedi Knight With a few exceptions, a problem with Star Wars games is that they're too linear. Yes, you have the chance to be good or evil sometimes but you're still set on a strict path. Especially with games where you just go from level to level without an environment bridging the gap between them. So as a change of pace, why not make a game that has a reasonably defined storyline but is set in a freeworld environment. A bit like the game adaptation of Spiderman 2 where you do the story missions as and when you please, and can alternately just spend your time idly swinging through New York or doing little sidequests. Take that basic concept and put it in the Star Wars universe and you're onto a winner. Especially if you set it somwhere like Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa, urban environments where scum and villainy are rife.
