Star Wars 10 Most Powerful Uses Of The Force
2. Palpatine's Super Lightning (The Rise Of Skywalker)
Please save your Rise Of Skywalker hot takes for YouTube, where at least you stand the chance of getting paid for your troubles. I actually quite liked this movie, and the film more than earns the second place entry for demonstrating just how devastatingly powerful Palpatine truly is. Again, nice going throwing Sheev down a pit before he decided to take sh*t seriously, Anakin. Solid move there.
To show Rey just how meaningless it is to fight someone like him, Palpatine decides to make an example out of literally the entire resistance fleet. With a single bolt of lightning, he immediately knocks every resistance ship out of the sky. The only reason they're saved is because Rey managed to interrupt his blast and the cavalry arrived just in the nick of time.
It isn't just the size of the lightning blast itself, but rather the precision. You're fooling yourself if you think those bolts wouldn't have taken down the star destroyers with them, so the fact that Palpatine managed to individually guide every one of the hundreds of thousands of branching bolts from the main blast to make sure he hit the desired target every time is impressive all on its own. And yet, not #1 impressive.
