10. Matches Must Be Balanced And Fair
The most obvious point, and thing people pointed out immediately after their first match, is just how weighted the Walker Assault mode is towards the Empire being victorious. Two things have came of this; 1. The idea being that it's intentionally asynchronous, assumedly to thematically play out the 'might of the Empire' as the Rebels struggle to fight back, and 2. DICE have bowed to peoples' complaints somewhat, saying they're working towards sorting it for retail. However, that's not going to be an easy task. As it stands, all the Empire/Imperials need to do to win is play the level like a standard deathmatch, as eventually the auto-piloted AT-ATs will arrive at the Rebel's defences and blast them to Kingdom Come. Said Rebels on the other hand, need to coordinate to call in Y-Wing strikes by ensuring twin satellites are online, as only then can the lumbering mechs take damage. Granted, if you're in possession of an orbital strike and time it just right, you can deliver massive damage to them, but in terms of specific kill-animations to pull off or the impact your average blaster - it's meaningless. Throw the fact the Empire have AT-STs on the ground, AT-ATs can still be piloted and will easily one-shot anything in sight and the fact you can simply sit at your enemy's base and kill troops as they spawn in, and it's going to require a complete reworking from the ground-up to make it feel close to fair.
