As a demand that's dated back to about, what, twelve years now? I think it's high time DICE made this a reality.

For better or for worse, leaked development footage of Pandemic and Free Radical's sequel to Battlefront II has set some pretty hefty expectations for the series' future. No, not for its weird clone-Jedi duels and QTEs (duh) - for those ridiculous looking ground-to-space transitions. That's why.

The fact that Free Radical were accomplishing this sort of thing on tech ten years old says a lot about their aptitude and talent, especially when you consider that no studio has attempted such a feat since.

If any developers were up to the task however, then it would have to be DICE. Seriously, could you even fathom just how ridiculous this would look on current-gen tech?

I'm sure there are some limitations on multiplayer balance holding it back, but still, this is a feature Battlefront fans have been waiting years for now; including it would be a surefire way to make any sequel an instant success.
