Star Wars Battlefront 2: 10 Things Fans Need To See
8. The Inclusion Of The Clone Wars
Confession time: I actually rather like the prequels.
Well, technically. I'm not really one for drawn out verbose monologues chastising sand, nor for CGI Yoda twirling around Count Dooku like some weird lovechild of Kermit the Frog and the Energiser Bunny. But what I did like was the universe it built - plus Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan. He was fierce.
And there's no denying that the Clone Troopers themselves were really damn cool; they even spawned a successful gaming title in Republic Commando. Heck, The Clone Wars animated show managed to outdo the prequels and then some, just by being pretty much everything they should've been to begin with.
Basically what I'm saying is that it doesn't take much to effectively transplant the good elements from the prequels (the clones, McGregor's Obi Wan etc.) and move it into a potential Battlefront sequel.
Some of the best remembered things about the old Battlefronts took place in a Clone War context - it just doesn't make sense to neglect them.
