Star Wars Battlefront 2: 8 Major New Details You Need To Know
1. Season Pass Is Free, But Loot Boxes And Cosmetic DLC Won't Be
As we know by now, Star Wars Battlefront 2 isn't going to charge players for its DLC expansion packs, in an attempt by EA to keep its community all playing together with the same content.
Of course, that doesn't mean Battlefront 2 won't have any paid DLC at all. Like most modern games, the sequel will be adopting a loot box system, where players earn in-game currency (or can pay for it with real-world money) to spend on randomly generated loot boxes.
Not only that, but specific character-related skins - such as Rey and Kylo's outfits from The Last Jedi - are only available as pre-order bonuses, and will no doubt be sold separately once the game eventually ships.
Having to pony up real money for skins and loot boxes isn't great, but it's a small price to pay to have access to every new map and mode when they come out.
