One feature that fans have been clamouring for since the release of the original Battlefront is the ability to take off from boots-on-the-ground shootouts to partake in dogfights outside of a planet's atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the dream of this ground-to-space combat hasn't made its way into the sequel's multiplayer (not even in the space-based Starfighter Assault mode), but the ability to jump into a ship on the surface of a planet and pilot it into battles happening out in space is available during certain points of the single-player campaign.

It's not quite what fans were wanting to see, but at least their dreams of being able to flawlessly move from shootouts on the ground to shootouts in the far-reaches of the solar system have been brought to life in one form or another.
