2. Loot Boxes Just Might Ruin The Game

Fans were overjoyed when EA confirmed that Battlefront 2 wouldn't feature any of the Season Pass nonsense that received so much flak in the first game...until it became abundantly clear that EA is just replacing one revenue stream with another: loot boxes.

Playing matches in the game will net you crates, which contain new weapons, abilities and cosmetic bonuses, and while the full of extent of how the microtransaction system will work is still unclear, players will obviously be able to pay real world money to acquire more of these shiny boxes.

The implication obviously is that players who shell out will get a palpable advantage over those who don't, and regardless of what EA might promise on the matter, balancing that equation in a satisfying way for all parties is extremely difficult.

Simply, unless you absolutely must have the game in your hands day one, maybe wait and see how badly the loot boxes affect the game for those who won't dig any further into their wallets.
