Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign: 9 Bold Story Predictions
3. No Moral Choices
Star Wars video games love their moral choices. Whether they're deep role-playing games or straight-forward shoot-em-ups, it's a staple of the series that at some point players will be given the choice of either joining the dark side or the light.
Unfortunately though, these decisions have always been poorly handled. Token choices that come out of nowhere and often don't mesh with the trajectory of the story, most Star Wars games only include moral choices because they feel they have to, and it would be smart for Battlefront 2 to side step this feature entirely.
EA have gone to great lengths to attract writers who can tell a focused and satisfying story that's centred around characters and their personal lives, so to artificially create a situation that gives players agency over the course of the narrative could rob the single-player of its greatest strength.
The story of Iden Versio could be amazing if they pull it off, but it would be guaranteed to fail if the developers suddenly gave the players the chance to make important moral decisions.
