4. Air-To-Ground Space Combat Will Be A Huge Focus
Considering how much emphasis EA has put on space combat in Battlefront 2's multiplayer marketing so far, there's a good chance that it's also going to play a major part in the game's main campaign.
It's already confirmed that the single-player will be the only place where players can enjoy ground-to-space combat, a feature which won't only be used once and then thrown away. The sequel's shooting looks like it's shaping up to be amazing, but the thing that's always set DICE apart from the competition is its ability to effectively use vehicles as part of its combat arsenal.
The campaign for Battlefield 1 has already proven that the developers understand how to use vehicle sequences to tell a strong narrative, so it will be no surprise if the same approach is carried over to this new game.
Space combat has always been a huge part of the Star Wars universe, and if Battlefront 2 can pull off epic multi-stage set-pieces in its main campaign - seamlessly going from intense dogfights in space to landing on a starship and storming its corridors - then it could provide players with the full Star Wars experience they've always dreamed of.
