As Redditor KillerAero thankfully pointed out, DICE aren't anything close to "lazy", nor have they straight-up not put any content out since launch. From bug fixes to Arcade mode reworks, we have seen at least one or two updates per month - the main issue is that The Last Jedi's "season content" didn't arrive until January, and even with that in tow, we've not had any new levels or meaningful additions since.

Again, DICE have outlined that all their efforts had to go into the "Progression Update" (the cosmetic store and microtransaction rework), but as is plain to see: Such an update is a tough pill to swallow when it obscures the very reason people picked up the game in the first place.

Put simply: Fans didn't purchase the new triple-A Star Wars game, to see a developer and publisher lose control of their game for months on end.

Yes, that's the reality of the situation, but when the official "We're back!" return statement ended with "And now you can play as Ewoks and microtransactions are back!", it did very little to convince the majority DICE knew what fans actually wanted.
