Star Wars Battlefront 3: 10 Ways To Make The Perfect Sequel

2. More Eras And More Factions

By the time Battlefront 2 came to a close, it had addressed the three main pillars of the Skywalker Saga: the Age of Republic, the Age of Rebellion, and the Age of Resistance. All nine movies were accounted for and, while there are still gaps, Battlefront 2 provides a fairly comprehensive Star Wars experience.

That isn't to say that the threequel shouldn't strive for bigger and better things though. Top of the list for many fans are more eras and more factions, and with the Siege of Mandalore leaving everyone breathless in The Clone Wars' final season, it makes sense for Battlefront 3 to include Death Watch and the Shadow Collective as factions.

Going even further, Battlefront 3 could also plug in the gaps between Episodes VI and VII. If the Mandalorian would be present, why not the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic? Granted the distinction between those two factions and the Age of Rebellion isn't great, but it's still another era at the end of the day.

One other thing to bear in mind is the new High Republic initiative too. I genuinely think Fallen Order's ties to the Zeffo could open up the door for a non-linear narrative, following Cal Kestis (another potential hero for the next game) as he relives the steps of an old Jedi, almost like Assassin's Creed. Could the High Republic feature in the third game, complete with the old Republic military and the new villainous faction, the Nihil? It'd be great to see.
