4. Full Scale Multiplayer
You could actually play multiplayer with the old games, using "Net Play" on Playstation 2, but like many of my friends, I didn't bother setting it up at the time. A few years on and it's all about online gaming, to the point that some games have hardly any story and are clearly just milked for their online presence. Most games have an online option, whether that be public shoot outs or co-op campaigns, and with such tools as Xbox Live and the Playstation Network, it's not hard to see why Battlefront 3 would do well. I always think of Star Wars Battlefront 3 as being Battlefield 3, but in a Galaxy Far Far Away. With the wide variety of vehicles to choose from, it would be great fun to go online with a few mates, shoot some Stormtroopers and then get in an X-Wing to battle for air superiority. This reason alone is why me and many other gamers constantly feel the need to Force Choke LucasArts into seeing that this game is in such high demand. My fondest memories of Star Wars Battlefront were of course the, back then, large battles and infinite opportunities. To build on what it was famous for, release it with more added content and mechanics to the current generation, would be truly exhilarating. The video that was leaked after its cancellation has now been recently pulled from YouTube, so I can't show you how awesome it looked to fight off Imperials and then zoom through the atmosphere into an explosive space battle up above, all in the same server. Just imagine what that last sentence describes and savour it.
