Star Wars Battlefront: 8 Past Features DICE Must Bring Back

7. Command Posts

'Instant Action' was the most enjoyable game mode that the original series offered. The gameplay was simple, with a series of command posts being spread out across the map, the objective was to capture all of them to prevent reinforcements from the other team spawning in. The same set up was used for galactic conquest, too. Command posts worked well because each one offered a strategic advantage depending on which map you were playing on. Some, like the ones on Geonosis and Kashyyyk offered unique vehicles for you to use for the ongoing assault. Whilst DICE offered this sort of version in their own game mode, Supremacy, the frantic spawning and recapturing of the same command post that you kept losing to that one droid is gone. Maps like Polis Massa were pretty much built around the command post feature, and it always led to copious amounts of blood shed to secure the posts along the corridor. The strategic effort, as well as a considerable amount of men needed to take over and secure a command post, was a lot of fun and constantly offered hours of gaming.
