7. The Development Of Ren's Powers

Although we did get to see one kind of version of Ren's powers in The Force Awakens, Battlefront took a different approach to the character altogether, showing the full extent of Ben Solo's interrogatory prowess with a smart gameplay set-piece.

In it, the player is given the chance to obliterate the mental barriers Meeko puts in place to safeguard the location of Lor San Tekka who, as we all know, dies at the beginning of Episode VII, having just handed the map to Skywalker's location to Poe Dameron. In doing so, DICE may have just given fans a first look into the internal process of Ren's interrogations, ignoring the brief visuals we saw when he interrogated Poe in The Force Awakens.

What does this mean? Well, apart from the fact we now have a greater understanding of Ren's powers, we also know what he was up to in the events directly preceding The Force Awakens.

At least you can't say he wasn't thorough...
