7. Proper Lightsaber Combat
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px42iTeEn2I The Lightsaber is one of if not the most iconic Sci-Fi weapon of all time, so why have so many past Star Wars games struggled to get it right? Sure, the Jedi Knight series managed to produce a faithful combat system that made people feel as though they were actually wielding a laser-sword properly, but nothing has quite managed to capture the fluidity and acrobatic flare that the prequels' choreography endeavoured to create. Both Force Unleashed games featured this style of combat, but without limb dismemberment or a focus on the Lightsaber itself it felt underpowered and detracted much from the experience of playing as a force user. Leaked gameplay shows that Maul is certainly packing his usual vicious and speedy moves that he's known for, but without any slicing and dicing the sabres might as well not be included at all - lest they feel like glorified blunt instruments.
