Star Wars: Darth Maul Wishlist - 8 Things We'd Love To See

1. Customisable Robes

At a first glance this may seem like a rather rudimentary feature to include, but a fully customisable armour system that had an influence on the way in which players progress through the story could be a really beneficial addition to the game. An Assassin's Creed inspired system in which the player crafts their armour set would be an interesting avenue to explore, but with the added bonus of having it influence gameplay beyond health upgrades the system could really supplement any potential Star Wars title to come. The conceptual stage of development depicted Maul in various states of dress, sometimes showing him with robotic legs, and sometimes in armour as well. If armour could affect the way in which the player chooses how to tackle situations (I.E. the more armour worn, the slower and louder Maul is), that would really help individualise each player's experience to them and their preferred play style. Obviously it wouldn't make sense to make the trait interfere with Maul's overall fighting technique, but having that option there would deepen gameplay in a worthwhile manner. If the concept art is anything to go by Red Fly's Star Wars game was (or should I say could be?) shaping up to be something truly special, unique and innovative to the Star Wars canon as a whole. It would be at the expense of Star Wars fans everywhere if they were unable to pursue it further. Are you still pining for the Darth Maul game that never was? Or do you think Red Fly's assets would be better placed somewhere else? Be sure to sound off below!
