2. New Jedi Rivals
One of the coolest things to come out of Red Fly's conceptual art pieces was the image of potential Jedi antagonists (pictured above) for Maul to fend off and best as he rises to the challenge of becoming a Sith Apprentice. Indeed, taking a leaf from the Force Unleashed's book may prove to be beneficial to the overall story being crafted to suit Maul's origins. The designs on offer blend the best of the Old Republic with the new, and the overall look and feel of the images conveyed are absolutely stellar. (and yes, that does include the 80s-esque shoulder pads on the Jedi to the left) Even if Maul doesn't end up being the star of Red Fly's gameplay assets, who's to say that some of the dashing characters above might not be? Of course only time wild tell, but I know for certain I wouldn't complain if I was saddled with taking on the role of one of the Jedi above instead.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
