Also nominated for the fan's favourite villain award is none other than Darth Maul. It was revealed at the end of Solo (to main series-only fans, at least) that Maul survived Obi-Wan's seemingly lethal lightsaber blow.

As a matter of fact, this has been common knowledge for viewers of both the Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Post-Phantom Menace, Maul dropped the Darth from his name and built himself cyborg legs to replace those which Kenobi so cruelly removed from his body. What followed was a brief stint of madness, brought about by a hatred of Obi-Wan and probably some jealousy of Darth Sidious' new apprentice, Count Dooku.

He came to his senses though, and set about seeking revenge on Kenobi and creating crime syndicates and puppet governments on the planet Mandalore.

Maul would make an excellent boss for a Padawan loyal to the Jedi and the Resistance, and his double-bladed lightsaber would make him a formidable opponent. Bring Sam Witwer back to voice the character again, and you'd have an instant recipe for success.
