5. Crimson Viper
Alas poor Viper, we hardly knew ye.
Following her Street Fighter IV debut, Crimson Viper looked set to be Street Fighter's next breakout character. Her eye-catching appearance and unique, tech-based move set led to the impression that Capcom had created another iconic female character, ready to be placed on the same pedestal as Chun-Li and Cammy.
Then Juri happened.
As it turned out, Crimson Viper's secret agent schtick was no match for Juri's psychosexual goth act. While Viper has spent the past ten years being reduced to cameo appearances, Juri has gone on to become Street Fighter's new alpha female, making it to Street Fighter V as DLC and joining the roster outright in SF 6.
Don't get us wrong - Juri is a great character, with her gleeful malevolence and flashy kicks making her stand out even amongst Street Fighter's eclectic cast. But there's room for more than one femme fatale on the roster, and Crimson Viper deserves at least one more round in the spotlight.
She's also not the only redhead we'd like to see Capcom include...
