Street Fighter V: 15 Huge Roster Omissions That Must Return

14. Sagat

Boy, zoning characters really aren't getting much love in Street Fighter V, are they? Aside from Ryu and Ken, Capcom seem overly reluctant to feature too many characters that rely on keeping their opponents at bay through the tried and tested method of spamming projectiles. Sagat's never been a particularly versatile fighter (throw Tiger Shots to play keep away, followed up by Tiger Knee or Uppercut if they get in too close and repeat) and certainly one of the most boring to control, despite being a powerhouse. With just one returning character slot from past games left to be filled in Street Fighter V, Sagat's almost definitely been pegged to be a DLC character - there's no doubt about that - but when he does eventually resurface, I can only hope Capcom focus more on the Muay Thai side of his combat abilities more so than anything else. In fact, if I had my way, I'd remove Sagat's ability to expel projectiles entirely and replace them with some command grabs instead. After all, what use is all that muscle if you never use it?
