Street Fighter V: 15 Huge Roster Omissions That Must Return

10. Evil Ryu

Due to the very nature of the character being an alternate version of Ryu who has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado (and subsequently lost his heart, for some reason), Evil Ryu's place on Street Fighter V's roster was never up for question; he's too similar to the original Ryu to be anything but a bonus character. However, there's a couple of things Capcom can do to distance Evil Ryu from the traditional Shotokan type of play that many criticise for being used too liberally in the series. There's the obvious choice; give the character a total overhaul à la what was done with Ken for Street Fighter V (great moves, awful banana-like hair) or, the more controversial one - make him like Oni. And by that, I mean get rid of the 'Evil' prefix and give Ryu's dark side a brand new look, name and move pool to mirror Akuma's ascension to his self-described God form.
