One of the most buzzed-about titles from Summer Games Fest this year wasn't a mega-budget AAA release but a visually stunning skateboarding indie largely made by just a single person.

In Devolver's showcase, they revealed an eye-popping new trailer for Skate Story - which was first revealed back in 2020 - where players control a demon "made of glass and pain" who must skate through the Underworld on a mission to, get this, swallow the Moon. Right.

The mesmerising visuals combine with a gorgeous score from indie band Blood Cultures and seemingly slick, fluid skating gameplay to ensure this immediately shot to the top of many people's most anticipated games of the next year.

Skate Story will hit PC sometime in 2023.
