3. Checkers Helped Mario Find His Voice
It's a widely accepted fact that shy people can often open up once they find a hobby they're really passionate about. For Mario, this hobby was Checkers! Well, it was: Checkers, Go Fish, Dominoes, Yacht, and Backgammon to be specific. Many people think that one of the reasons why Super Mario 64 was such a ground-breaking game, was because it was the first game in which Mario was voiced by Charles Martinet - who still voices the character today. But this isn't true. The first game Martinet voiced Mario in was the classic, Mario's Game Gallery! Martinet put his vocal talents to lines such as, "Its-a my turn now," and my personal favourite, "You's got-a Mario thinking now!" To be honest, it's not surprising this game is forgotten by many...
