Super Nintendo Classic: All 21 SNES Games Announced - Ranked
18. Super Ghouls ’n Ghosts
When Capcom brought Arthur and the Ghosts 'n Goblins brand to the SNES, they really pushed the boat out, adding a bunch of new features to compliment the ridiculously addictive side-scrolling gameplay.
It seems like a small thing, but allowing Arthur to double-jump was a revelation, adding a whole new dynamic that meant we got a whole raft of new platform puzzles to test it out. It was also delightfully difficult (in comparison to modern games anyway), and more often than not you'd spend a good deal of time watching Arthur running around in his pants.
As a further f*ck you, you have to complete it twice to actually defeat the Final Boss, which would pretty much have it removed from shelves these days.
