Super Smash Bros. Switch: 10 Characters We Want To See
6. Shovel Knight
Whilst Bayonetta managed to win the new Smash Bros. character poll last year, we all know one chivalrous Knight who deserved to be included.
With how much Shovel Knight has been advertised for the Nintendo consoles and even getting his own amiibo, it's surprising that he wasn't included in the original game's launch. Shovel Knight is one of the most popular choices to be included in the Smash Brother's roster, and for very good reason.
The gameplay of Shovel Knight ensures that he would have no shortage of items and abilities to make up his specials and combos. For example, his dig move could be his down special and could be used to trap enemies in the dirt and randomly finding different items. Shovel Knight also has loads of different abilities that could be implemented such as the Dust Knuckles.
Shovel Knight would be a great way of attracting the new generation of platforming fans, as well as including one of gaming's greatest nostalgic heroes into the mix.
