Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Every Confirmed Character (And How They've Changed)

24. Mewtwo

Mewtwo SSBU
Nintendo

Mewtwo was cut from Brawl for no good reason, and was only available in Smash 4 as DLC. Happily, the legendary Pokémon returns, and he's not a clone. Except he is a clone. You know what we mean.

25. Roy

Roy SSBU
Nintendo

Roy is a clone, mind. Basically, he's a red-haired Marth, and like his doppelganger, comes in English language version this time.

26. Mr. Game & Watch

Mr Game & Watch SSBU
Nintendo

The oldest character in Smash Bros., Mr. Game & Watch's animations have been updated to better match those from the 1980 LCD handhelds. R&D approved.

27. Meta Knight

MetaKnight SSBU
Nintendo

Is Meta Knight secretly a blue Kirby with a sword, swishy cape and spaceship? Nobody knows. What we do know is that he's virtually identical in Smash Ultimate to his previous outings.

28. Pit

Pit SSBU
Nintendo

Kid Icarus' seraph returns to the fray with a brand new Final Smash, a Lightning Chariot strike which operates very similar to the Dragoon item. Hopefully his much-missed "ha-ya-ya-yaaah!!" has been restored too.

28e. Dark Pit

Dark Pit
Nintendo

See above, but evil.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
