Even though fans of hardcore wrestling in its purest form will not like to admit in, the land of extreme still thrives, well exists at least, in 2015's WWE. We're days out from a pay per view with the world in the title for crying out loud. Extreme Rules is something the powers that be came up with during ECW's reboot in the mid noughties. Whenever Justin Roberts would exclaimed: "And this match will be contested under EXTREEEEMEEE ROOOOOOOOOLEZ," everyone's crotches turned a little bit damp. It's needless to say that the stuff that happens in the ring is nothing compared to what used to happen back in the day. Nevertheless, it still happens, no matter how much you are told wrestling is aimed at a PG audience. Just look at Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. That, allegedly, was an intentional blade job. ECW is extremely relevant.
