Tekken 7: 10 Essential Features Every Fan Wants To See

5. Tag Minigames/Side Quests

What's better than one-on-one fighting in Tekken? Two-on-two of course, as is evidenced by the amazing success of the Tekken Tag spin-off games - especially being that the first was a PS2 launch title, carving out its own unique spot in your childhood. A great way to continue the appeal of these games is to drop them into the main iterations, as although it might not make perfect business-sense for Namco to essentially remove the main hook of another retail product, on next-gen hardware there's no tag-based alternative whatsoever. Plus, both Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive successfully integrate tag modes into their games, and are much better off because of it. We'll no doubt get another Team Battle mode that'll let players run through a selection of their favourites back to back, but it's hardly Jin and Kazuya delivering simultaneous heel-kicks to a dude's face, now is it?
