I have to believe that if Lars was introduced in another game with some better hair (it really is just bad, and this is from a community who accepted Paul Phoenix's towering do), he'd of gone down infinitely better. As it stands, the idea of yet another one of Heihachi's children rocking up and demanding to be noticed - in the worst entry in the franchise, no less (Tekken 6) - made the majority of us hand-wave this guy away.
And that's a shame, because spend just a few moments with this revamped edition of Lars, and you'll feel a great sensation of offensive momentum behind his various combos and one-off attacks. There's a solid mix of acrobatics and athleticism that lets him close the distance fast, delivering strings of destructive blows in a truly stunning way.
It's just a shame about his look...
