16 Best Missions From Mass Effect Trilogy
13. Reaper IFF (ME2)
Cerberus Researcher: Katy had anger management issues. When my brother got married, the best man tried to hit on her. She kicked him down the church steps. Cerberus Scientist: Wh? Katy's my wife! I must have told you the story.Cerberus Researcher: No. I know my wife. I remember that day was the only time I saw her wear stockings. Cerberus Scientist: Yeah. The kind with seams up the back. That's what I remember, too. The above conversation provides a good example of what this mission does so perfectly; unnerve you. It takes place on board a dead Reaper, the race of sentinent machines you fight against throughout the trilogy. Whether youre cautiously advancing through empty corridors, fighting off the inhuman husks or listening to Chandana warning of a dead God that can dream, theres plenty of unsettling material here. Furthermore, you even recruit Legion, one of the more enjoyable Mass Effect crew personalities.12. Bring Down the Sky (ME1)
The first DLC mission for Mass Effect is a cracker. Introducing the humanity-hating Batarian alien race (and worth the price of admission just for that), Bring Down the Sky also includes one of the most difficult moral choices of the entire trilogy. The terrorist has his finger on the detonator, theres a room full of hostages, and he says hell kill them all if you dont let him go. What do you do? Let him walk free, in all likelihood to commit similar atrocities in the future? Or sacrifice the few hostages in the room for the good of the future many. Its not an easy decision to make, and either way youll find yourself wondering if you made the right call afterwards. Its just a shame you spend so much time in the Mako.11. Stolen Memory (ME2)
This loyalty mission is always a highlight of any ME2 playthrough. Its a fun crime caper, as charismatic thief Kasumi Goto accompanies you to an elegant party, where you can schmooze with the host, see a whole slice of Mass Effect history in his private museum and break into his vault by fooling its DNA sensors, voice recognition and password protection. Theres a fun boss battle, too. And thats without mentioning the decision to save Kasumis memories of her deceased lover Keiji or not, even though shell be hunted down for the rest of her life depending on your decision.
