The Avengers Project: 10 Things It Must Include

1. NYC As A Hub World, But The Ability To Explore Elsewhere

In Spider-Man, not only did New York look beautiful, it was the little details splashed here and there that made it truly come to life. That makes it the perfect hub world for an Avengers game, but to really feel like we are Black Widow, it’ll take a little more.

Switching between characters is fine, but it’s still not the full experience. While the majority of New York would be unlockable as time progressed, perhaps certain parts would only be available to Tony via a Stark Tower passageway.

That doesn’t mean he’d be the star though. They could all have features to make the game more personal for them and to help unlock special moves or experience to level them up. Could Captain America experience some kind of flashback to the 40s when he visits an elderly Peggy Carter? Having World War Two as just a collection of sidequests would be ambitious, but this game needs to be.

Thor could be used to access Asgard. Hulk could have memories too, of his time on the run in between his switch from Norton to Ruffalo. And for Black Widow and Hawkeye, why not some of these SHIELD missions they keep referencing?
