A critical element of the Arkham games is detective mode. While it's not directly addressed in the game whether detective mode is accessed via contact lens, in The Batman "detective mode" contact lenses play an integral role in the story.

Prior to The Batman, previous films treated the Dark Knight more as a brawling vigilante than keen-eyed detective. Alternatively, the Arkham series relies heavily on detective mode to find clues, detect weapons and, of course, solve riddles. The Batman finally brought this to the big screen.

Robert Pattinson's Dark Knight utilizes special contact lenses as a heads-up display, allowing him to identify people, scan corpses for clues and catch minute details. Being the World's Greatest Detective, Batman utilizes this tech to stay a step ahead of the Gotham police department.

Arkham City provided Catwoman with her own version of detective mode, called "thief vision". In The Batman movie, Selina uses Batman's contact lenses so that he can see through her eyes and communicate with her during a scene in Carmine Falcone's club.

Now that the games and movie have introduced detective mode, it deserves to follow Batman through his future iterations.
