3. Red Dead Redemption
Before LA Noire and Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption was Rockstars first step outside Grand Theft Auto. Red Dead does take many elements from the GTA series, but it stands on its own feet as an amazing gaming experience. The first time we see John Marston is when he is being escorted onto a train under sheriff's custody. From that point onwards he is trying to be the hero citizens can look up to. Throughout Marstons journey, there are times that he fails to prevail, forcing him to rise to the occasion. A great example of this is in the very first mission, John Marston gets shot and is need of medical attention afterwards. Few missions later, he forms a cavalry to fuel his revenge. Sadly he couldnt change his past, which eventually caught up. John Marston was betrayed by the U.S army and had to sacrifice his life in order to save his family. The ending that caught many off guard including myself, but I dont think we have heard the last from Red Dead Redemption.
