The Division: 10 Ways You’re Playing It Wrong

2. You're Not Using All Of The Grenade Types

Along with your agent's military-grade weapons and futuristic technology and abilities, The Division offers players a few extra supporting items with which to reclaim the streets of New York. Grenades are one such item, and their benefits are fairly obvious.

With the classic frag and flashbang grenades able to damage and disorient your enemies respectively, lobbing a well-aimed grenade during an unfavourable combat situation can be just the thing to turn the tide back in your favour.

Contrary to what the behaviour of most players may suggest, however, these aren't the only ones on offer. Additional grenades like the incendiary or EMP can damage your foes as well, and are great at dealing with different enemy types.

They become more effective again in the Dark Zone, where their additional effects can give you the perfect upper hand over a fellow agent. EMP grenades prevent the use of abilities for a time, while incendiary grenades will burn the target and leave them unable to sprint or take cover. The benefits these effects have could be the difference between your agent's life and death, and forgetting they are in your arsenal is a foolish move.
